M2.3: Transport properties of Copper

In this experiment the electrical resistance, the thermal conductivity, and the  Hall effect of copper as a function of temperature from about 5 to 300 Kelvin are measured. In addition, the magnetic-field dependencies of these properties are determined. The measured data are analyzed within the Drude model of metals and general relations between different transport coefficients, as e.g. Wiedemann-Franz law, are investigated.
